VII International Symposium of Entomology

The Entomology Symposium of the Federal University of Viçosa is a biannual institutional event that has gained notoriety and importance in the Brazilian entomological scenario with each edition. The event is organized by students of the Graduate Program in Entomology at UFV, with the support of the faculty of the Program, and the participation of other departments and institutions of the university.

The event aims to complement the training of professionals in the areas of Agricultural Sciences and Biological Sciences, with emphasis on entomology.
Now in its seventh edition, the event will have national and international collaborators in the area of Entomology and support from the Entomological Society of Brazil (SEB).

The Federal University of Viçosa (UFV) is one of the oldest higher education institutions in Brazil. It was inaugurated as the School of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences (Esav) on 28 August 1926.

It is often highlighted in educational rankings of the country and the world. It has been among the 100 best higher education institutions in the world three times in the area of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences.
